Welcome
Future Square Dancers to my first blog post. To get you all excited
and informed about the new blog, I have a fun contest for all of you.
The contest is for anyone that is interested, but also, that is in a
reasonable distance to Chico, California so you are able to pick up
your prize if you win. By entering the contest it will help you know
what you are getting into if you join a square dance club and how
much fun it can be. The contest winner will be announced at the Chico
Diamond Dancers Anniversary Dance on April 26th 2014. The anniversary
dance will be held at Little Chico Creek Elementary School from 6:00
to 10:00pm.
The
contest question is:
How
many Square Dance Calls are on the Caller Lab basic program list? And
name them all.
The
contest rules:
- Anyone can enter the contest by commenting on this post, and within your post, please post your answers to the contest question.
- You are only allowed to enter the contest one time, so please only comment one time for this post, therefore, make sure you have the answers you want before you post it.
- There is no age limit to enter the contest.
- There is no purchase necessary to enter the contest.
- The deadline to enter the contest is April 25th 2014 at 5pm Pacific time.
- The correct answer will be posted on April 26th 2014.
- The winner does not have to be present to win, therefore, if not present, we will post the winner on the blog on April 27th 2014. Your prize will only be held one week after the winner is announced at the dance. So you have until May 3rd 2014 to pick up your prize.
- The winner can pick up their prize at the anniversary dance. If not present the winner will have to make arrangements with the Chico Diamond Dancers to pick up the prize.
- There will only be one winner, unless the winner does not pick up the prize, then the second place winner will be chosen at random.
- The second winner will have one week to pick up the prize. So you can pick up your prize between May 4th 2014 through May 11th 2014.
How
will the contest winner be chosen:
- After the deadline which is April 25th, the winner will be chosen at random.
- Random is defined as everyone who received the correct answer will have their name be put on a piece of paper and placed in a bowl which then will be pulled out of the bowl at random.
- The winner will be announced on April 26th 2014 at Little Chico Creek Elementary School at the Chico Diamond Dancers Anniversary Dance.
The
contest prize:
- The contest prize will be a free Chico Diamond Dancers T-shirt. You can see the t-shirt posted on the blog.
- The t-shirt can come in any size.
- The t-shirt is a great prize to win because anyone can wear a t-shirt.
- The t-shirt can be a motivation to start square dancing and or to continue to square dance.
Again,
the contest question is how many Square Dance Calls are on the Caller
Lab basic program list? And name them all. I wish all of you future
square dancers luck and have a great time learning new calls!
